ABOUT
The story

Amy Wang
Artist & Founder of Lighthouse Musing
“I believe in slowing down, making with care, and creating objects that carry presence. My work is not loud. It hums.”
Lighthouse Musing is a one-person ceramic studio rooted in the Pacific Northwest. Every piece is designed and handcrafted by me — inspired by nature, light, and the quiet strength of clay.
I trained intensively in Jingdezhen, China, where I built a strong foundation in form and tradition. My approach combines wheel-throwing, hand-building, and a reverence for imperfect beauty — shaped further by Japanese ceramic philosophy passed down from my mentor. Now based in the Pacific Northwest, I continue to learn from local artists and the quiet rhythm of the coast, forming a practice that is grounded, evolving, and distinctly my own.
Each object is part ritual, part sculpture — made to be used, loved, and remembered.
